That's right, you heard me. Fuck. Short. Hair. Why? Well, let me ask you this: why does modern society accept more men with short hair than long? What makes a man having long hair being "girly?" And why do people crticize us for proudly growing one?
When you go out to look for jobs, most employers automatically reject you mainly because of hair length, to the contrary of women with even shorter hair length than yours may be allowed in the work environment. Why is that? What makes long hair more suitable for women than men? The same way short hair is more suitable for men than women?
Do I really have to change my image into what society generally accepts? You know, people keep telling me that most men don't really grow long hair anymore, and that I should cut it---fuck that! Why do I care what THEY think? It's not about me, it's about them all of a sudden? Who made them "God?"
I'm not letting these quacks try to get to me and bullshit any longer. All I have to say is that if you're going to reject men with long hair in employment and even modern society itself, better do the same for women... Because, really, I find it discriminating.
If long hair is "feminine," then why did God make us men capable of growing long hair as much as women? What is degrading about embracing something you have?
Plus, go and read the story in the Bible about Samson, a man whose strength was attributed from his hair, which was a blessing from a higher power. Some evil harlot found out and cut his hair, and that's how I relate her to what modern society's become. They may or may not REALIZE the power and dominance long hair has on people, and since they don't want to see guys with long hair to make those with short hair feel powerless, they'll resort to this kind of tactic. This is why people see long hair just as a glamorous thing for women, which is actually more than just that.
Don't get me started with Fundamentalist Christians...their doctrines require women to NEVER cut their hair, and for men to always cut their hair and shave completely once or twice each week. I find it rubbish, because long hair is just long hair. Anyone can grow it if they're capable. There's no sin against that. Period.
I am happy to be rebelling against what society thinks. Fuck them. Grow your hair out and be proud of it. Same goes with facial hair and body hair. A REAL MAN keeps his own hair in place.
Also, there are more short-haired (especially preppy cut and clean-shaven) gays than there are long-haired ones. Coincidence?

I curently have short hair, but I used to have long hair back in '89 (I was 5), it was in style at the time to use hairspray alot and glammify it. ill admit that made me look like a chick but theres still nuthin wrogn w/ long hair!! But i agree job managers are such idiots. :-X
